Dr Lewis Tidmarsh
Chiropractor, Dry Needling
Lewis grew up on a military base in Cyprus where some of his family still live. Growing up overseas led Lewis to become a keen traveller and he has spent years working aboard super yachts where he is a qualified sailboat captain. He has visited places such as the Galapagos, the Caribbean, Dutch Harbour, the Panama Canal and he was amongst the first ever yachts to complete the North West passage. Whilst travelling, Lewis worked as Dive Master in Thailand, where he swam with the biggest fish in the world.
Lewis is passionate about Chiropractic and, having come from a scientific background with his first degree being in Biology, his aim is to keep his patients in optimal health and allow them to be their best version of themselves.
Lewis comes from a very sporty family, his brother currently lives in Florida, where he coaches Orlando city's youth teams in the MLS as well as being on the board who select the USA girls U18 teams, and his mother was in the England swimming squad.
Growing up in a household with a father with a serious back condition which often left him bed-bound, Lewis was regularly in and around Chiropractors and took a keen interest from a young age in natural healing powers of the body. In later life, Lewis's mother acquired a neck injury and also found the power of Chiropractic able to make a huge difference to her life. It was seeing the difference that chiropractic made to both his parents' quality of life that led Lewis to have the interest in, and passion for, chiropractic that he does.
During a visit to a chiropractor, whilst discussing how chiropractic treatment works, it was suggested to him that since he already had a degree in Biology, he should consider studying chiropractic for himself. Within a few months, he was studying and is now a qualified chiropractor.
Dr Lewis Tidmarsh holds a three-year honours degree in Biological sciences from the University of Reading and a four year's masters in Chiropractic from the Welsh Institute of Chirpractic where he graduated with distinction.
After graduation, Lewis spent time practicing in Singapore before deciding to move back to the UK. Initially Lewis practiced in Warrington before joining NOVA Clinic in Stevenage.
As part of Lewis' interest in sports, he had attended tennis tournament, European surf lifesaving championships, cycling velothons as well as Iron Man competitions, where he treated and gave advice to athletes of all types and ages.
Lewis is registeed with the General Chiropractic Council and is also a member of the United Chiropractic association
